Pronunciation Note: 'Suppi' is pronounced 'soo-pii' and 'Spinel Sun' is pronounced exactly the way it is written.

Spinel Sun is more of minor character than anything, but still plays an important role. Created by Eriol to discourage Cerberus and Yue from searching for the Clow within him, he is the dark equivalent of Cerberus. With dark blue fur and a red jewel on his forehead, Spinel looks more like a jackal than a lion. He is lean and well-built, with all the grace of a jungle cat. He can shoot blue flame from his mouth and run very fast. Because of Clow Reed's magic within him, he is able to overpower Cerberus before Sakura defeats Eriol. He can see magic in a physical sense, and not just sense it.

In his temporary form as Suppi (named so by Nakuru), he likes to read. Because he stays at Eriol's mansion all day while Eriol and Nakuru are at school, he peruses the massive library and usually stays all day with his nose (does he have a nose?) buried in a difficult read. When he is with Kero-chan, however, he tends to play video games. Kero-chan is always bragging that he has a score which Suppi can't beat. Suppi is very meticulous with his speech and wording, and speaks in very proper Standard (the normal Japanese dialect without slang). The only thing which can make him lose his seriousness and grammar is sugar in any form. Once he starts eating sugar, he won't stop ^_^. As well, his voice goes up an octave and becomes high-pitched, while he shoots lasers at anyone and anything. Suppi on a sugar high is truly something to behold ^_^. As Suppi, he closely resembles Kero-chan, but with pointed ears and a twisted tail. Suppi's voice actor is Toma Yumi and Spinel Sun's is Konishi Katsuyuki.
