- Chiharu and Yamazaki go to a festival together and Chiharu asks Yamazaki to win her a prize at the shooting gallery. (Book 4, Arc 1)
- Chiharu makes a teddy bear and gives it to Yamazaki. According to the tradition, if the bear is named after the giver, then love between those two people will last forever. Chiharu is too shy to name it after herself, and Yamazaki calls it 'Suama' (a Japanese sweet made from rice flour). Chiharu becomes annoyed and asks/yells (at) him: "Don't you want our love to last?!" Poor Yamazaki-kun ^^;; (Book 2, Arc 2)
- When Eriol puts everyone to sleep using his magic, it is shown that Chiharu and Yamazaki were sitting in the park together. Chiharu falls asleep with her head on Yamazaki's shoulder. (Book 5, Arc 2)
- Near the end of the (manga) series, Sakura goes to Chiharu for some love advice. Yamazaki understands with just a look from Chiharu to make himself scarce, and leaves. Chiharu says "Like I said, we've been together a long time, and I'm the type to speak my mind, so there are times when I say bad things. But I really do love him, and I want to stay together...so I apologize." (Book 6, Arc 2)
- Chiharu is always trying to get Yamazaki to stop lying, and she has been commended on how easily she's able to do just that ^_^. (Throughout the books)
